Arrival and the move to your landscape base
Check which Guilin airport or railway station you use and whether the first night should stay in the city. Compare a land transfer with any river journey by its complete itinerary: boarding point, luggage arrangements, final landing and hotel transfer. A cruise can use most of a day; it should replace other activities.
One rural landscape day
Choose one Yulong-area focus and arrange the outward and return journey. Walking, cycling or a properly arranged river product require their own conditions and suitability checks. Keep a clear turnaround and lunch plan. In unsafe weather or warnings, change the activity rather than treating a reservation as a reason to proceed.
The last day: Xingping or a simpler finish
If you have a full day, choose a separately planned Xingping focus. If you leave later, stay closer to your base and give the luggage/station journey enough time. Yangshuo station is not the centre of the town; confirm the real transfer. A familiar area can be a better final morning than a new long journey.
Make the short route fit your arrival
These blocks assume full local time. If arrival or departure consumes a block, shorten the sightseeing plan or add a night. Choose the base area around the route and save exact Chinese place names before using a local map. Current entry, transport and weather still need checking for your dates. The eight-page PDF adds accommodation-area choices, arrival notes, food ideas, a spending worksheet and a Chinese-name/source desk; custom planning is useful when your dates, interests or gateways require another order.
