First day: a garden and canal streets
Choose the Humble Administrator’s Garden as the major visit if entry is available, then use the Pingjiang area for a shorter public-street walk after lunch. Notice framed views and transitions in the garden rather than treating every pavilion as a separate photo task. The street afternoon provides a different pace.
Second day: compare a different garden
Use the Lingering Garden as a second design language. Comparing two gardens can be more rewarding than rushing through several. Add one confirmed indoor cultural venue or simply a longer meal. Museum reservation and garden admission are separate checks, even when the places look close on a map.
A third day: local time or an excursion
Stay in the old city if departure is today or if you want a quieter visit. If you have a full free day, research Tongli as a separate outward-and-return excursion. It replaces the local day rather than appearing at the end of several garden visits. Confirm the correct railway station before planning departure.
Make the short route fit your arrival
These blocks assume full local time. If arrival or departure consumes a block, shorten the sightseeing plan or add a night. Choose the base area around the route and save exact Chinese place names before using a local map. Current entry, transport and weather still need checking for your dates. The eight-page PDF adds accommodation-area choices, arrival notes, food ideas, a spending worksheet and a Chinese-name/source desk; custom planning is useful when your dates, interests or gateways require another order.
