Three days in Xi’an: keep the archaeology day separate

Xi’an’s central streets and the Terracotta Army belong to different travel blocks. Give the excursion its own day and the city enough time to feel like a place.

Day one: a manageable wall segment

Choose one city-wall entrance and a segment suited to the weather and your walking comfort. A full circuit is optional. Take lunch inside the old city, then use a shorter central walk around the Bell and Drum Tower area as orientation. In strong heat or rain, move or reduce the exposed wall visit.

Day two: the actual Terracotta Army museum

Use the museum’s official ticket guidance and match the reservation to the document required for entry. Arrange the complete Lintong journey, including the return pickup. Give the archaeological site the day’s attention. This is a poor block to combine with a tight train or flight departure.

Day three: food and one more historical layer

Choose one museum if entry is available, or a public street route and a measured food walk. Keep the afternoon flexible. Food streets are more useful with a short list of dishes and time for a seated meal than with a compulsory list of viral shops. Leave room to prepare tomorrow’s journey.

Make the short route fit your arrival

These blocks assume full local time. If arrival or departure consumes a block, shorten the sightseeing plan or add a night. Choose the base area around the route and save exact Chinese place names before using a local map. Current entry, transport and weather still need checking for your dates. The eight-page PDF adds accommodation-area choices, arrival notes, food ideas, a spending worksheet and a Chinese-name/source desk; custom planning is useful when your dates, interests or gateways require another order.
